FALL BASEBALL: Overview

2025 Fall Baseball Registration is now closed.
The registration window was open from July 21 until August 20th.

Fall baseball overview:

The Western Hills Fall Baseball Season has a developmental focus, therefore players play Fall 2025 Baseball under their Spring 2026 age and division.

Fall Ball is a chance for players to preview the division they will be playing during the Spring 2026 season. Players benefit from having this "preview" season to adjust to new rules, new (usually bigger) fields before the more formal & competitive Spring Season begins.

*Please note* WHLL follows the 2026 Little League Official Age Chart found here for every player.

  •  WHLL will not place any player "up" or "down" into a different division.
  • During the registration process, the registration form will automatically place your player into the correct age group regardless of their grade.
  • Player's "Little League Age" age may not correlate to your players current age. For quick reference, your child's age as of August 31, 2026 is their "Little League Age" regardless of when they turn that age or what grade they are in.

Fall FAQ:

Q:  When does registration open for the Fall 2025 season?

Registration will open on 7/21/25 and close on August 20th.
**There will be no registrations allowed after registration closes on August 20th. We are unable to add players after August 20th. There are no late registrations for Fall baseball after August 20, 2025.

Q:  Are there tryouts in the Fall?

There are NO tryouts in the Fall season. Teams are formed by the division commissioner and coaches. Teams are announced one week prior to the start of the season. Tball, Coach Pitch, and MP7 will allow for Coach and friend requests via the Google Doc Form only. All other requests (calls, emails, texts) will fall into the abyss. A link to the Google Doc Form will be emailed to you within your email confirmation of registration. WHLL Commissioners and Coaches will do their best to honor requests but no request can be guaranteed.

Q:  What are the Fall baseball divisions?

Little League has strict age charts that leagues must abide by. WHLL abides by the following Divisions, which are based on player's Little League Age. Please see note above regarding Little League Age and age chart found here.

TBall : LL Age 4-5
Coach Pitch: LL Age 6
Machine Pitch 7: Little League Age 7
Machine Pitch 8: Little League Age 8
Minors 9: Little League Age 9
Minors 10: Little League Age 10
Little League 11 & 12: Little League Age 11 and 12

**These divisions are subject to change based on the enrollment per division.

Note: "Baseball age" or "Little League Age" refers to the age of your child as of August 31, 2026, not necessarily their current age. The system will automatically provide you with the correct division for your child based on their birthday.

Q: Why are the divisions subject to change and why do the divisions for the Fall season look different than Spring season?

There are sometimes limited division options in the Fall due to the fewer number of players that typically register for the Fall season. We sometimes combine age groups and divisions in order to ensure that there are a sufficient number of teams for a successful season.

The Fall season is all about development so it's a great time for new players to come in and learn baseball.

Also, Fall baseball divisions and Spring baseball divisions differ the most for Little League ages 10-12. All Little League Age players age 12, according to Little League rules, must play Majors Division baseball. Per WHLL rules, all players ages 10 and 11 must be evaluated in the Spring for placement into a division according their ability level. Some LL age 11 players will be evaluated for Spring Majors. Please note that not all 11s will play Majors in the Spring even if they played 11&12 Fall baseball. For clarity, just because your 11yo played Fall baseball in 11&12 Division, it does not mean they will play in the 11&12 Majors division in the Spring.

Q:  How much does it cost to play?

Registration fees for Fall are as follows:

Tball: $180
Coach Pitch: $250
MP7: $250
MP8: $250
Minors 9: $325
Minors 10: $325
Little League 11&12: $325

Q:  Can we request to play on the same team with friends?

Requests to play with friends are considered only for Tball, Coach Pitch, and MP7. In order to have your request considered it must be made via the Google Doc Form sent within you registration confirmation email. All other requests (calls, emails, texts) will fall into the abyss. Teams are formed by the division commissioner and coaches. Teams are announced one week prior to the start of the season. WHLL Commissioners and Coaches will do their best to honor requests but no request can be guaranteed.

Q:  When will the season begin and end?

Practices and games will start roughly the second week of September, and the season will wrap up before Thanksgiving.

During our Fall season there is typically one practice per week. There will be no league activities on Saturdays due to other sports.

We do not have a practice schedule available at this time. There will be no practice schedule available until registration closes and teams are formed. Coaches will send their practice schedule to their team two weeks before the season begins.
