Hello WHLL Parents...

 

As most of you are aware, this is the time of year when we ask the WHLL families about their interest in playing Post Season tournaments...either State All Stars or City League.  

 

A quick overview of both is below. 

*If you and your player are interested in Post Season baseball for either All Stars or City League you MUST fill out the following Post-Season Player Information Form no later than Sunday May 5th!

State All Stars:*Top players in each age group are voted on by the coaches.

Divisions:

12 year olds

11 year olds

10 year olds

 

•Ages are strictly enforced and original birth certificates are required for certification. 

•Top players in each age group are voted on by the coaches. 

•Practices begin on May 15th and games begin in late June. If your team continues to win, you could play well into July in the Sectional and State Tournament.  (We have had recent success with teams from all age groups getting to Sectionals and the State Tournament!)

•Players will be fitted for All-Star uniforms.

 

City League Tournament Teams: *Ages 7-12 and anyone who wants to play on a team is placed on a team.

 

Divisions:

11/12 year olds

 9/10 year olds

 8 year olds

 7 year olds

 

•Ages are strictly enforced and original birth certificates are required for certification. 

•There is no 'playing up'.

•Practices begin when the regular season is over

•Games will be played against teams from other leagues in Austin. Game sites are all over town, including our fields. 

•Games begin early June and, if your team gets all the way to the championship you could play until the 25th of June.

•Players wear their regular season uniforms for games.  No special uniforms or jerseys are allowed.
