Team selection process:

City Tournament Teams:
Players: No tryout necessary.  If your child wishes to participate, all you have to do is sign him/her up before the deadline. We need to know by the deadline so that we can tell the District Administrator how many teams in each age group we will have.
Coaches: If you want to be considered as a coach for a City Tournament Team, you need to let your commissioner know before the deadline.  The Commissioners will provide a slate of nominations to the All Star Commissioner who will take the list to the Board of Directors for final approval.

State All Stars:
Players: Near the end of the season, the coaches will vote for State All Stars.  The three levels for State All Stars are ages 9/10, 10/11 and 11/12 (Majors).  The coaches will vote and the top 9 players receiving votes will be placed on their respective team.  The head coach will then pick the remaining players in order to fill out the roster.  The roster must be between 12-14 players.
Coaches: Before the deadline, coaches interested in coaching a State All Star Team must notify their commissioner.  The commissioners for all levels of State All Stars will submit a list of nominations to the All Star Commissioner who will then submit the names to the Board of Directors for final approval.

Player Eligibility Requirements

IMPORTANT NEW POLICY REGARDING PLAYER ELIGIBILITY PROOF OF RESIDENCY!  AND YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE IT!

Player post season eligibility is determined by either the player living in the Western Hills boundaries OR attending school within the Western Hills boundaries.  If your child attends school within the Western Hills boundaries then there's no need for providing all of the proof of residency documents like in the past.  All you have to do is print this School Enrollment Form, fill it out (including principal or vice principal signatures) and then provide it to your team's coach when asked. This applies for City Tournament teams as well as State All-Star teams.  These forms MUST be dated BEFORE June 1, 2018.  City Tournament teams will be certified before June 1st so these forms will need to be completed well before then.

If your child does not live in the Western Hills boundaries AND does not attend school within the Western Hills boundaries, he/she will not be eligible for State All-Stars but could be eligible play on a City Post Season Team.  Please let us know if that's the case for your child and we will see what we can do.
